Assassination is one of three class skill lines available to Nightblades. Skills in this line focus on melee weapon attacks. Known abilities in this skill are listed below.

Skill PerksEdit

The Assassination skill line is immediately available to all Nightblades, and is leveled up by earning experience while Assassination skills are slotted. Skills include: Notes

  • The numbers displayed here are the base values for the skills. Magicka/Stamina Cost is based on a character of Level 50  160. Damage values are based on Max Magicka/Stamina 12000, Max Health 16000, and Weapon/Spell Damage 1000. The actual numbers you see in the game may depend on a variety of factors, including skill line rank, your equipped weapons and armor, other skills, enchantments, etc. As such, they should only be used as a comparative reference.

Ultimate AbilitiesEdit

These abilities must be activated manually, for a cost of Ultimate.

Ravage an enemy with a swift strike, dealing [4799 / 4851 / 4905 / 4957] Magic Damage and causing them to take 20% more damage from your attacks for 6 seconds.
     Incapacitating Strike Deals Disease Damage. If cast with higher Ultimate, stuns the target. While slotted, your Light and Heavy Attacks restore resources if the enemy has a negative effect active.
Ravage an enemy with a swift strike, dealing 4958 Disease Damage and causing them to take 20% more damage from your attacks for 6 seconds. If cast with 120 or more Ultimate, the enemy is stunned for 3 seconds. While slotted you gain Reave, which restores [85 / 90 / 95 / 100] Magicka and Stamina when you deal damage with a Light or Heavy Attack on an enemy with a negative effect active on them.
   Soul Harvest Also afflicts the enemy with Major Defile, reducing their Healing Received. While slotted, any time you kill an enemy you gain Ultimate.
Ravage an enemy with a spinning attack, dealing 4958 Magic Damage and increasing your damage against them by 20% for 6 seconds. Also afflicts the enemy with Major Defile, reducing their healing received and Health Recovery by 16%. While slotted, any time you kill an enemy you gain [7 / 8 / 9 / 10] Ultimate.

Thrust a magic blade with lethal precision to stab an enemy, dealing [1499 / 1515 / 1530 / 1549] Magic Damage. Deals 300% more damage to enemies below 25% Health.
     Killer's Blade Converts into a Stamina ability, deals Disease Damage, and now scales linearly based on missing Health rather than a flat value. Also heals you if the target dies within two seconds of use.
Cost: 2066 Stamina.
Thrust a caustic blade with lethal precision to stab an enemy, dealing 1549 Disease Damage. Deals up to 400% more damage to enemies with less than 50% Health. Heals you for [3098 / 3133 / 3168 / 3199] if the enemy dies within 2 seconds of being struck.
   Impale Allows you to use the ability at range and increases the execute multiplier.
Range: [25 / 26 / 27 / 28] meters.
Throw a magic blade with lethal precision to strike an enemy, dealing 1549 Magic Damage. Deals 330% more damage to enemies below 25% Health.
   Teleport Strike 4 0.4 seconds Enemy 22 meters 3780 Magicka
Flash through the shadows and ambush an enemy, dealing [1796 / 1814 / 1834 / 1855] Magic Damage and afflicting them with Minor Vulnerability for 10 seconds, increasing their damage taken by 5%.
     Lotus Fan Targets in an area around the enemy take damage and are afflicted with Minor Vulnerability.
Area: 6 meters.
Flash through the shadows and ambush an enemy, dealing 1860 Magic Damage. After teleporting you unleash a fan of knives, dealing an additional [4318 / 4370 / 4422 / 4446] Magic Damage over 20 seconds to the target and nearby enemies. All enemies hit are afflicted with Minor Vulnerability for 10 seconds, increasing their damage taken by 5%.
   Ambush Converts to a Stamina ability and deals Physical Damage. Also grants you Empower and Minor Berserk.
Cost: 3213 Stamina.
Flash through the shadows and ambush an enemy, dealing [1860 / 1881 / 1902 / 1920] Physical Damage and afflicting them with Minor Vulnerability for 10 seconds, increasing their damage taken by 5%. Also grants you Empower and Minor Berserk for 10 seconds, increasing the damage of your Heavy Attacks against monsters by 80% and your damage done by 5%.
   Blur 20 Instant Self 20 seconds 3780 Magicka
Duration: [17 / 18 / 19 / 20] seconds.
Surround yourself in a phantasmic aura to gain Major Evasion, reducing damage from area attacks by 20% for [17 / 18 / 19 / 20] seconds. While active, taking direct damage reduces the cost of your next Roll Dodge by 10%, up to a maximum of 100%. This effect can stack up to once every half second.
     Mirage Grants Minor Resolve, increasing your Physical and Spell Resistance. Reduces the cost as the ability ranks up.
Cost: [3780 / 3690 / 3600 / 3510] Magicka.
Surround yourself in a phantasmic aura to gain Major Evasion and Minor Resolve, reducing damage from area attacks by 20% and increasing your Physical and Spell Resistance by 2974 for 20 seconds. While active, taking direct damage reduces the cost of your next Roll Dodge by 10%, up to a maximum of 100%. This effect can stack up to once every half second.
   Phantasmal Escape Grants snare and immobilization immunity for a short duration.
Surround yourself in a phantasmic aura to gain Major Evasion, reducing damage from area attacks by 20% for 20 seconds. Activating this ability removes all snares and immobilizations from you and grants immunity to them for [2.5 / 3 / 3.5 / 4] seconds. While active, taking direct damage reduces the cost of your next Roll Dodge by 10%, up to a maximum of 100%. This effect can stack up to once every half second.
   Mark Target 30 Instant Enemy 50 meters 20 seconds 2700 Magicka
Duration: [17 / 18 / 19 / 20] seconds.
Expose an enemy's weaknesses to afflict them with Major Breach, reducing their Physical Resistance and Spell Resistance by 5948 for [17 / 18 / 19 / 20] seconds. When a marked enemy dies, you heal to full Health. You can only have one Mark Target active at a time.
     Piercing Mark Ability has an increased duration, and you can see the target if they use stealth or invisibility.
Duration: [57 / 58 / 59 / 60] seconds.
Expose an enemy's weaknesses to afflict them with Major Breach, reducing their Physical Resistance and Spell Resistance by 5948 for [57 / 58 / 59 / 60] seconds. You can detect marked enemies even if they use stealth or invisibility for 3 seconds. When a marked enemy dies, you heal to full Health. You can only have one Piercing Mark active at a time.
   Reaper's Mark If the marked enemy dies, you gain Major Berserk, increasing your damage done.
Expose an enemy's weaknesses to afflict them with Major Breach, reducing their Physical Resistance and Spell Resistance by 5948 for 20 seconds. When a marked enemy dies, you heal to full Health and gain Major Berserk, increasing your damage done by 10% for [7 / 8 / 9 / 10] seconds. You can only have one Reaper's Mark active at a time.
   Grim Focus 42 Instant Self 40 seconds 2700 Magicka
Focus your senses for 40 seconds, increasing your Weapon and Spell Damage by 60 with every Light or Heavy Attack, up to 5 times. While active, hitting an enemy with 5 Light or Heavy Attacks converts this ability into Assassin's Will, allowing you to fire a spectral arrow for half cost to deal [5397 / 5456 / 5514 / 5576] Magic Damage, and healing for 33% of the damage dealt if you are within melee range.
     Relentless Focus Converts into a Stamina ability and deals Disease Damage. Increases duration.
Cost: 2295 Stamina, Duration: [54 / 56 / 58 / 60] seconds.
Focus your senses for [54 / 56 / 58 / 60] seconds, increasing your Weapon and Spell Damage by 60 with every Light or Heavy Attack, up to 5 times. While active, hitting an enemy with 5 Light or Heavy Attacks converts this ability into Assassin's Scourge, allowing you to fire a spectral arrow for half cost that deals [5579 / 5641 / 5704 / 5763] Disease Damage, and heals for 33% of the damage dealt if you are within melee range.
   Merciless Resolve The spectral bow does more damage and heals for more.
Focus your senses for 40 seconds, increasing your Weapon and Spell Damage by 60 with every Light or Heavy Attack, up to 5 times. While active, hitting an enemy with 5 Light or Heavy Attacks converts this ability into Assassin's Will, allowing you to fire a spectral arrow for half cost that deals [6137 / 6205 / 6271 / 6340] Magic Damage, and heals for 50% of the damage dealt if you are within melee range.

   Executioner 14    When an enemy dies within 2 seconds of being damaged by you, you restore 500 Magicka and Stamina.
27    When an enemy dies within 2 seconds of being damaged by you, you restore 1000 Magicka and Stamina.
   Pressure Points 22    Increases your Weapon Critical and Spell Critical ratings by 219 for each Assassination ability slotted.
36    Increases your Weapon Critical and Spell Critical ratings by 438 for each Assassination ability slotted.
   Hemorrhage 39    Increases your Critical Damage by 5%. Dealing Critical Damage grants you and your group Minor Savagery, increasing your Weapon Critical rating by 1314 for 10 seconds.
50    Increases your Critical Damage by 10%. Dealing Critical Damage grants you and your group Minor Savagery, increasing your Weapon Critical rating by 1314 for 20 seconds.
