Lore:Ring of Surroundings

< Lore: Artifacts: [[Lore:Artifacts [|[]]

The Ring of Surroundings is very mysterious. Almost all that is known about it is that it grants the user the ability to blend into their surroundings.

The Nerevarine reportedly acquired the ring on Vvardenfell in 3E 427, though reports on the method of its acquisition conflict. Some say that the Imperial Legion awarded the ring to the Nerevarine for wiping out the Camonna Tong's presence in Balmora. Others state that the Camonna Tong's kingpin, Orvas Dren, had the ring as part of his collection in his residence. These reports may not necessarily conflict, as there may be two Rings of Surroundings in existence.

Circa 4E 201, Zaria, the alchemist in Falkreath was tasked by the jarl to scare a guard who had been taking skooma from the evidence chest to consume themselves, to prevent an embarrassing ordeal from becoming known. Serving as her proxy, Zaria tasked the Dragonborn with delivering an invisibility potion under the guise of it being skooma. The plan worked, and the alchemist handed over the Ring of Surroundings as a reward, a payment from the jarl himself.
