Faolan's Ire is a landmark in the southeastern parts of the Reach, north of Gloomreach and Lost Valley Redoubt and west of Hroldan Ring at the banks of the Karth River.

HistoryEdit

Faolan's Ire ca. 4E 201

The area was named after ancient Reachfolk king Faolan and was once a site of the battlefield between two warring clans: Eagleseer Clan and the Six-Ford Clan. Since times long forgotten, those two clans fought against each other. The battlefield was marked with a cairn to commemorate the grim event. During the battle, one of the clans lost a piece of an ancient relic known as the Lover's Coil, a totem that is tied to the history of the Six-Ford and Eagleseer clans, as well as the source of their ancient rivalry. The second part was lost during the more known event, the Battle of Karthspire Lea.

Both parts were recovered in 2E 582 by an interloper in an affair that involved both the Eagleseers and Six-Fords. They found the part of the relic in the Faolan's Ire, which became the site of a giant's camp. The ancient relic was reassembled not long after both pieces were found.

As of 4E 201, during the Nordic occupation of the Reach, the location is desolated and no longer inhabited by Giants.
