The Black Forge is a massive facility in southeastern Coldharbour. The arms and armor that Molag Bal's troops bear are forged here, as are innumerable tools used in the Daedric Prince's schemes. Notably, the Dark Anchors and the Great Shackle were constructed here. Ebony-alloy cold-iron is a powerful material used in construction at the Black Forge, and the secret to smithing with it is a secret closely guarded by the higher-ranking Dremora (formally referred to as "Overkyn") assigned there.
The Black Forge is also where Black Forge Iron Senches were created. This unique form of Iron Atronach is composed of ebony-alloy iron and bound into the form of a senche for use as a mount.
It is incredibly dangerous to work within the Black Forge. Many of the Soul-Shriven thralls assigned here only last a few shifts.
